The latest county to be included in the ‘Walks with Children’ series from Sigma is Suffolk - a delightful county where there is every possibility you could find yourself walking in the footsteps of such famous painters as Constable and Gainsborough, and in a wide variety of landscapes and features - from disused railway lines to coastal paths and slow-moving rivers. Suitable for the whole family, each of the 20 circular walks can be enjoyed as a treasure hunt on foot - search for clues along the way and see who can rise to the challenge to score the most points. Discover historic churches, old buildings, an old packhorse bridge, a tide mill, castle ruins and maybe even an inland lighthouse in your quest to solve the mysteries! See if you can spot the birds, butterflies and wild flowers that abound in this beautiful county. Walks vary in distance but most start from a country park, an official picnic site, or a place of particular interest. Detailed maps are included for each walk with information on refreshments and facilities available along the way, totalling what must combine to offer an enjoyable walk in beautiful countryside, full of exploration and discovery for all the family.
