Gable is considered to be somewhat special. This is a personal view of one Lake District mountain
and its immediate upper valleys, a mountain held in great affection by many walkers and climbers, taking
a deeper, more intimate look at the mountain and all forms of life on its slopes from the earliest
beginnings.

About the Author:
Before writing this book, the author knew Gable well and now, after a good deal of research, has a
much deeper understanding of its development. Apart from walking and rock climbing in Lakeland and
North Wales he has climbed many higher mountains in the Alps and Far East. Dr Malcolm Craig has
previously published academic books.
