About the Author:
Chris Mitchell is a wildlife author and naturalist with over 25 years' experience of leading field study groups. He graduated in Zoology and Psychology from the University of Hull where he was awarded an MSc for his research on insect behaviour. He moved to Skye in 1978 where he lives with his wife Janet. He is the award-winning author of several natural history guide books and writes a regular ‘nature notes' column for the West Highland Free Press.
